Here’s a great video which includes all of the ingredients of a typical truckies day in just over a minute. In fact, it’s a video well produced by Scania to publicise their driver training.

After turning up at the loading dock, the driver finds people parked everywhere to make it virtually impossible for him to get his trailer onto the dock and then an idiot car driver tries to get killed by driving straight in front of him as he is reversing. When he arrives on the loading dock the guys who are due to unload him don’t care and walk off. I think this encapsulates the life of a truckie quite well.
