Transhelp for truckies
Here is a story of a truckie who has had his life turned around with the help and support of Tranhelp.
They are a voluntary organisation set up to try and do something about truck drivers’ health. Over the years truckies have been neglected as they, in turn, neglect their health. Without access to health services out on the highway they often live with medical conditions unnecessarily.
Transhelp can be found at their website or in selected parking bays around the country when they offer free health checks to drivers. Look out for their van!
The Transhelp Foundation has also, recently, been able to secure a permanent home in Tarcutta on the Hume Highway halfway between Sydney an d Melbourne.
