On the south coast of Victoria lies the sleepy town of Angelsey, just inland, up in the wild and windy woods is the test track owned by trucking tycoon Lindsey Fox. Today, etruck has been trying out the best of the Mercedes Benz truck range there.

The track has a number of different areas giving Benz the chance to demonstrate the strengths of their models. The B-double route gave drivers a chance to try out the retardation, washing off the speed downhill into tight bends with just the transmission retarder. All this at over 60 tonnes.

The four wheel drive track gave them a chance to see the capability, on some very wet ground, of the all wheel drive trucks from Sprinter through to the 8×8 Actros. there was also an Atego tight manoevring time trial and the obligatory skid pan demo of the wonders of ESP.
