The Freighter EziLiner Draws Customer OneLiners

Some improvements in the Eziliner trailer curtain concept were on show at the Melbourne Truck Show. The system usesa single high tensile cable to tension the curtains, using mecahnical hooks to draw down the cable and secure the curtains.
In the past the mechanical hook system used a single motion but now the redesigned hook shape takes hold of the cable in two steps allowing the driver to stop the connection halfway through the process and check all of the hooks are attaching to the curtain.
The improved action adds to an already useful and fast method of opening and closing the curtains on a curtainsider.

Introduced to improve operational efficiency and reduce the time and OH&S risk associated with conventional buckles and straps, Freighter say the EziLiner has attracted encouraging feedback from large transport companies and owner operators who have taken delivery or are looking to add an EziLiner to their fleet.
“I’ve been involved in the transport industry since 1964 and I can definitely say that the EziLiner trailer is a time saving innovation,” says, Malcolm Lane, K&S Group National Accounts Manager. “The fact that the drivers appreciate and are also embracing the technology is a ringing endorsement.”
Freighter reckon the Eziliner may also help in attracting new and retaining quality drivers, an important factor considering the average age of Australian truck drivers is nudging 60.
The EziLiner may also help lead to greater efficiencies at loading docks where unloading and loading can be done more promptly, providing benefits for both the road transport operator and its client.
