Benz on trial

I have spent the last day and a half testing the new-look Actros. The 2660 has used its 600 hp hauling a B-double set at just under 60 tonnes on some great driving roads.
After leaving Newcastle and heading through the traffic nightmare that is known as Sydney, The good fun started after turning off the Hume Highway onto the Federal down to Canberra.
Then it was up into the mountains to Coomah down the Monaro Highway heading for Victoria. Spent the night at Nimmitabel at an altitude of over 1000 metres. Temperature gauge said 5 degrees but it felt closer to zero, however, warm as toast in the bunk.
The drive south to Cann River was great, a roller coaster with big sweeping bends up at top before dropping into the winding roads through the forests of East Gippsland.
The truck did well, left in auto, so all you need to do is steer and enjoy the view.

Hi, interesting post. I have been thinking about this issue,so thanks for writing. I’ll certainly be coming back to your site. Keep up the good work
