Safety at centre stage

Safety has been given centre stage here at the ATA Convention. Most of the second day’s sessions have concentrated on the causes of accidents and how to prevent them.
This is welcome return to first principles for the ATA driving home their core message of improving the performance of the industry.
The ATA was built on the foundation of getting better safety outcomes and as a result improving the image of the industry.
With these improvements they can knock on government’s door and get them to listen to legitimate truckie concerns about current and future legisative issues.
If trucking can’t get it right and improve they will just not listen.
