The establishment of national trucking laws will slash red tape, boost safety and reduce the industry’s costs, ATA Chairman Trevor Martyn said. Australia’s transport ministers have agreed to propose a new framework for regulating heavy vehicles to CoAG.

According to the ATA the Council of Australian Governments (CoAG) agreed in its recent meeting to a series of reforms that will help reduce the licensing and paperwork tangles facing some trucking businesses.
