With the release of the Treasury’s Midyear Economic Forecasts Wayne Swan has revealed the economic downturn has blown a $40 billion hole in projected government revenue in the next few years. Investment in Australia’s infrastructure is the area expected to be most affected by this shortfall.

Infrastructure Australia has called for public submissions about Australia’s infrastructure priorities, including priority road projects. It has also released a short discussion paper about Australia’s future infrastructure requirements.
