Sterling introduce LNG in the US

Trucks using the Cummins Westport LNG gas powered engines have been released onto the US market by Sterling. This is the the first LNG-engined truck to be built on the assembly line in the US. In the past any LNG engines have been fitted later as a repowering oof the truck.

LNG engines taking off

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) engines made by Westport, as seen at the recent Melbourne Truck Show in the Innovation Kenworth, are starting to make progress in the US market with a sale of 20 HPDI LNG engines to a single customer in California.
