This week, ABC’s New Inventors featured an invention from Queensland, the Chekway Eliminator, a suspension monitor used to locate and record where the worst potholes are on the roads. The system has been fitted in Rod Hannifey’s Truckright B-double to be used as he works up and down the eastern states.

Rod is a long time campaigner for trucks and truckies who has finally achieved his dream of running a working truck but using it, when he can, as a tool for lobbying politicians, by actually getting them to come for a ride down the highway. It also serves as a mobile advertising hoarding to bring home Rod’s constant message of safety and responsible behaviour on the roads.

Good Luck Rod, keep up the good work!
